Compton High School has become part of a growing CIF Southern Section (CIF-SS) investigation into fraudulent transfer paperwork and violations of Bylaw 202. According to The562.org, the CIF-SS has declared one Compton football player ineligible for all CIF-sanctioned sports through Sept. 18, 2027, sidelining him for the rest of his high school career. Unlike other schools which let players who filed fraudulent paperwork play, Compton did not put the player who allegedy violated Bylaw 202 play in any games this season. Therefore, the CIF has not required Compton to forefeit any of its wins. The562.org quotes CIF-SS Commissioner Mike West as saying that there was currently an “influx of fraudulent paperwork,” among Southern Sectio's players; however, he said, the CIF's investigators had become very adept at identifying violators.
